The Residential Program Center was established in 1994 through a partnership with Volunteers of America Chesapeake and the Arlington County Government to provide three crucial services to the Arlington area all under one roof; social-model detoxification, recovery and homeless supportive services for single adults. RPC is the only 24-hour program of its caliber in Arlington County and routinely runs at full capacity. Each year the center serves more than 800 people in need a “new start.”
The RPC Advisory Board hosted this inaugural event to raise not only awareness about the program, but also much-needed funds to continue to provide these important services to the community – especially at a time when our services are in greater demand, due to the current economy.
