Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter
Located in Falls Church, Fairfax County, Virginia, Volunteers of America Chesapeake's Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter is a 50-bed, emergency homeless shelter for adult men and women. The average stay at the shelter is 90 days and may include medical care, mental health services, substance abuse counseling, education and training for homeless individuals. Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter is funded by the Fairfax County Government to bring these essential services to the county.
As the community's primary emergency homeless shelter since 1994, the center also provides a Drop In program three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This program offers homeless individuals the opportunity to bathe, receive a nutritious meal and wash their clothes.
During the winter months, from November 1 to March 31, the center is also home to a Hypothermia Program.
