Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter is a 50-bed facility serving homeless men and women in Fairfax, Virginia. During the coldest months, 10 cots are added for single night stays. Residents stay an average of 90 days, which can be extended on a case-by-case basis.
As the community's primary emergency shelter, we provide clean and safe housing, nutritious meals and personal hygiene essentials to some of the County's most mentally challenged residents.
In addition to core services, a number of additional services are provided by Fairfax County staff, volunteers and community-based organizations. These support services include:
- Medical Care
- Mental Health Services
- Substance Abuse Counseling
- Education and Training
Volunteers of America Chesapeake assumed responsibility for operating Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter close to 14 years ago and operates under contract with Fairfax County.
