Paca House is a permanent housing initiaitve tha provides support services for low income men and women who were homeless or facing homelessness.

Of the 106 available apartments, there are 76 single room only units (SROs) and 30 efficiencies.  Residents in the SROs share kitchens, bathrooms and recreation areas with other residents. Those who are HIV positive, physically challenged or elderly are eligible to reside in an efficiency.  The efficiencies are self-contained.

Additional support services are available to people who are mentally challenged.  The rehabilitation of two historic buildings and the new construction of a building that connects them, was made possible through a partnership with Volunteers of America Chesapeake, the State of Maryland, the City of Baltimore, The Enterprise Social Investment Corporation, Crestar Bank and HUD.

Paca House accepted its first residents in December 1996 and continues to be a necessary resource for the citizens of Baltimore.
