Residential Program Center
Located in Arlington County, Virginia, Volunteers of America Chesapeake's Residential Program Center consists of two substance abuse programs; a 12-bed Detoxification Unit and a 10-bed Early Recovery Unit.
The 12-bed Detoxification Unit, which opened July 1994, provides social-model detoxification services to Arlington County citizens for up to 14 days. The 10-bed Early Recovery Unit provides intensive post-detoxification treatment services. Most clients in the Early Recovery Unit are entering their first residential treatment program. The average length of stay is a minimum of 90 days.
The Substance Abuse Unit is co-located with Arlington County's only year-round shelter for single adults. .
