This treatment facility consists of two substance abuse programs, a 12-bed Detoxification Unit and a 12-bed Early Recovery Unit.

The 12-bed Detoxification Unit, which opened July 1, 1994, provides social model detoxification services for up to 14 days to Arlington County citizens seeking help.  The 12-bed Early Recovery Unit provides intensive post-detoxification treatment services.  Most clients in the Early Recovery Unit are entering their first residential treatment program. The average length of stay is three to six months.

The Residential Program Center (RPC) program opened November 7, 1994.  Both programs operate under contract with Arlington County and are co-located with the Arlington Homeless Services Unit.  All three programs operate in the RPC, a multi-purpose facility designed and built by Arlington County and Volunteers of America Chesapeake.
